Using a nurturing yet effective two-handed palming technique, I help work and stretch your body. You lie in different positions on a futon/floor mat wearing loose, comfortable clothes to allow for full movement. The level of pressure is based on each person’s individual needs and should not be painful.
my journey with bodywork
The gift of shiatsu fell into my lap when I was an independent marketing consultant. Honestly, I never had an intent to become a professional bodyworker. It was love at first sight but to be honest, I was thinking of it more as a hobby. I also saw it as a great opportunity for self care. I was what is known as a reluctant healer. There were many excuses as to why I would not or could not complete the certification even though the school for it was right in my backyard! As time went on all my excuses were taken care of as if by magic. I’ve been blessed and honored to have a private practice for many years. My plan is to practice well into my nineties.
